Communicatie English Classes

Learning Objective: To be able to have fluent and interesting conversations. These classes are for those who already have a good understanding of English and want to be able to express themselves better verbally.  

General English Classes

Learning Objective: General English Classes are the stage before Communicative English Classes. General English Classes take a holistic approach to get you reading, listening, writing and speaking well in English. They will improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation skills. 

IELTS General

Learning Objective: a mixture of both of the above, improve your English as you prepare for your IELTS exam. Has elements of general English, improving grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and gradually improves your skills to be ready for the Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing IELTS exams.

IELTS Advanced

Learning Objective: The learner already has a high level of communicative English but has not yet passed an IELTS exam. So the lessons are different to IELTS General in that the focus is less on learning grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation skills to be successful and more on exam techniques or IELTS hacks to pass the 4 papers with a high (7.0+) mark.

English for Academic Purposes

Learning Objective: You have passed the IELTS/UK university entrance exam and want to learn the Academic English skills needed to be successful at English Speaking Universities. This course takes a holistic approach and teaches you Academic Listening, Academic Reading, Academic Speaking and, most vitally Academic Writing skills.

Only the most up to date materials are used in all courses and pdf resources are supplied on a lesson by lesson basis.

Mature teenagers are welcome and encouraged to join the above adult classes but sometimes teenagers are not yet ready to join adult classes.

And so we use the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) and assgin a teenage student to teenage specific classes using material designed especially for teenagers from both Oxford University Press and Cambridge English (formerly Cambridge University English)

A1 Beginner

A0 Absolute beginner

The above CEFR criteria also applies to children however the materials used are child-friendly, child centric and make learning fun. We use resources from McGraw-Hill and Oxford University Press.
